Casa Colina’s perfect central location allows guests to experience all the events and attractions the South Okanagan has to offer. Award-winning wineries, hiking and biking trails, world-renowned climbing, rolling green golf courses, and sandy beaches are all just a short drive from this tranquil hideaway.
Casa Colina is situated smack dab in the heart of the world-renowned Okanagan Wine Valley, home to 82 per cent of the province’s vineyards. Stretching over 250 kms, the region is dotted with more than 170 wineries, from family-run boutique vineyards to large-scale operations. The Penticton area alone is home to 44 wineries within a half-hour drive.
The small community of Kaleden offers a handful of dining options, but for a greater variety, venture just 13 kms up the highway to the city of Penticton. You’ll find more than 145 restaurants sprinkled along South Main Street, from cozy cafes to ethnic eateries to fast food to fine dining.
Whether it’s hiking, biking, rock climbing, golfing, kayaking, or quieter pursuits like walking among the flowers of local parks, browsing artist studios during the regular art tours, or shopping for crafts and fresh produce during the season, the area’s activities will fill your days.
Festivals & Events
The Okanagan Valley is, of course, famous for its wineries and two popular festivals draw thousands to sip and swirl. But there’s so much more on tap, including the annual Fest of Ale, featuring locally made craft beer and cider, car shows, jazz festivals, Dragon Boat races, even an Elvis Festival, featuring dozens of tribute artists, thank you very much.
